JOG-A-THON IS HERE!
Attention Nixon Parents and Families! It’s Jog-A-Thon time again! This is a big and exciting fundraising event for the school. In the past, Student Council has collected from $3,500 to $6,500 and donated the funds to the school for various programs, such as technology and safety. Last year we went beyond collecting flat donations to asking for sponsorships and were able to collect over $9,500! We would love to see you at the Jog-A-Thon cheering your child on, or jogging alongside them! Thanks again to everyone for your continued support of Student Council and Pat Nixon Elementary!

• When collecting sponsorships the student will be asking a sponsor to pledge a certain amount of money per lap. For example: if the student is sponsored $2.00 per lap and the student runs 10 laps, following the Jog-a-thon, the student will collect from the sponsor $2.00 x 10 laps or $20.00. The student may also accept a flat donation.
Sponsorships/Donations can be collected in the form of cash or checks made out to:
• The day of the Jog-A-Thon your child will let you know how many laps they ran, after which students can begin collecting from their sponsors.
• Because of the need to collect sponsorships after the event, students will have the following week to collect money. The money collected from sponsorships and donation will be due by Thursday, April 1st.
Incentives
$15 – Participation in Crazy Dress Day (date to be announced)
$100 – Pizza Party on Crazy Dress Day (slice of pizza, drink, & an ice cream cup)
