What grades have you taught, and how long for each?:

I have worked with children from preschool to high school. I love 3rd grade the best! That's why I've been in third grade for 13 years.

What do you expect from your students?:

I expect my students to do their best everyday, treat others with respect, and be honest, responsible citizens.

Reading Tips for Parents

Read to your child everyday.
Listen to your child read everyday.
Get your child a library card and go to the library.
Provide books on his/her reading level. (I can provide that information.)
Get your child a subscription to a child's magazine; Nickelodeon, Mathmania, Zoobooks, National Geographic for Kids, Highlights, etc.
Read signs, billboards, buildings, etc. Challenge your child to read them to you.
Have your child read directions and recipes to you.
Let your child see you reading.
Encourage their reading - Praise, Praise, Praise!
Remember you are your child's first and most important teacher. They model you whether you want them to or not.
