On Friday, March 12th, 2010, from 9:15 A.M. to 12:00 P.M., Nixon is planning its annual Career Day for students in grades 2-6. The day is designed to encourage students to start thinking about their futures. We are asking parents who would be willing to share information about their careers/jobs to speak on this special day. We are looking for parents from a variety of careers/jobs to participate.
The plan for the day is to have parent volunteers speak for approximately 30 minutes with three (3) separate groups of students. We would like you to talk about your educational background, job requirements, what a typical day is like, etc. Students will have time to ask questions at the end of each session. We encourage you to bring any tangible items that can assist you in your presentation. We can provide a projector for your presentation.
